General Supervisor, Industrial Hygiene and Emergency Response

Position Description:
Barrick is looking for an Industrial Hygiene and Emergency Response General Supervisor to join the Safety and Health team.

Provide leadership and expectations to all direct reports and to the site
Provide professional development for direct reports to achieve their career goals
Lead and participate in risk assessments and safety meetings
Evaluate systems for functionality, effectiveness and efficiency
Perform program audits; audit action items and trackers against targets and deadlines
Assist in incident investigations
Evaluate risk to site with relation to occupational health and emergency response
Oversee the development of standards, programs, and plans related to IH and ERT
Ensure compliance to regulatory, corporate, or site requirements
Manage budget performance in accordance with annual plan
Minimum of 3 years practical Occupational Safety & Health or Emergency Response experience in mining or related field - Preferred
Supervisory and leadership experience - Preferred
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) or related certifications - Preferred
Communicates regularly, both written and oral, in a wide range of forums to both hourly and management personnel - Required
Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills; leads team members with strategic vision and develops them into their career goals - Required
Able to deliver results individually, and through team members, in accordance with compliance and strategic plans- Required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
