Professional Engineer

The Position
Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is located within the Agency Risk Management Division in Las Vegas, NV. Incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of risk management plans and workshops, including establishment of scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk processes; coordination of teams, consultants, experts, and internal/outside counsel as necessary; perform regular assessments and measures progress of risk identification and management of activities and projects; provide regular updates on assignment/project schedules; provide technical and high level reports to individuals and committees on strategies relating to risk management; assist with settlements; provide explanation of engineering concepts to teams; manage engineering consultants, provide independent opinions on assignments; and develop contracts and agreements; obtain team buy-in on assignments and manage stakeholders expectations; facilitate state-wide risk training to ensure Department staff have required skills and competency to deal with risk matters; using acquired engineering and management skills monitor and coordinate Departmental-wide risk related matters. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) Special Notes A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of employment. The practice of engineering does not include land surveying or the work ordinarily performed by persons who operate or maintain machinery or equipment. Special Requirements Registration as a Professional Engineer is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
