Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Position Description:
Barrick Nevada is looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join the Human Resource team. The HRBP will support Human Resources strategic initiatives in areas of employee relations, training, project management, recruiting and induction, talent management, compliance, business improvement, compensation, internal communication, program development, and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all programs, personnel actions and approaches support the organization's goals for safety and sustainability
Provide timely and efficient response to all day to day Human Resources and benefits queries from employees and managers.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the operational divisions and other human resources support groups to develop solutions, programs and policies
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to mid-level and frontline leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations related to workplace matters
Utilize key partners in HR (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management) to bring resolution to complex employee and talent related issues and ensure consistency in program framework and implementation in functional areas
Provide direction and support to all levels of management, particularly in organization design, employee engagement, change management, and leadership
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree business or human resources related discipline and/or equivalent of five to seven years' experience in multiple human resources disciplines preferred
Prior experience in human resource management in mining, manufacturing or industrial setting required
Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources function with the ability to learn, use and administer the organization's HR policies and strategies required
Strong business partner experience in making a positive impact on the business by understanding and working with the management team anticipating future needs of the business and recommending HR solutions required
Knowledge of and ability to use the industry's standards, procedures, and policies relevant to human resources management preferred
Working knowledge of Discovery or other online Talent Management Programs preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
Proven safe work record required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information via a simplistic approach required
Flexibility to work staggered hours to support a 24/7 continuous, fast-paced operation required
Resolute in handling confidential/sensitive information required

Barrick Nevada is an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
