Position Description:
Barrick is looking for a Digital Service Delivery Technician. This person will provide service desk based PC, Mobile and basic Digital related infrastructure support as per established corporate and departmental SLA'S. This candidate will support newly developed mobile software for digital mining initiatives, newly purchased commercial solutions, and the extension of existing internal Barrick solutions to mobile devices. The candidate will work with the rest of the Site Service Delivery teams to assist in the administration of more than 5,000 mobile devices in use around the globe. Experience with Windows 7, 10, and iOS is a must as well as comprehending how mobile devices are configured to work on wireless networks. This position requires a person to work closely with functional business representatives.
Responsible for maintaining Digital Service Delivery documentation and standards.
Work with various Digital team members to resolve Digital Service Delivery help desk issues.
Rotate through the role of On Call Technician on a periodic basis.
Configure, deploy, and maintain mobile software solutions via Mobile Iron
Provide support for mobile devices to determine cause of problems and coordinate successful resolution between IT, the Business, and external solution providers
Configure and troubleshoot WIFI connectivity to mobile devices
Demonstrate fluency working in iOS and other mobile operating solutions
Provides entry level service desk based PC support and basic Digital related infrastructure support per established corporate and departmental SLA's.
Provides peripheral equipment support for printers and scanners, wireless networking and laptop VPN support.
Responsible for daily maintenance tasks, such as imaging computers, remediate broken clients and other duties as assigned.
Periodic after hours on call support as assigned by Supervisor.
Research and troubleshoot Digital related issues in timely and accurate fashion.
Other duties as assigned.
Four (4) years of in-depth experience working with personal computers, with mobile devices including iPads, MacBooks, iPhones, and other handheld and vehicular mobile devices., networks and data communication trouble shooting required.
Experience working with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform,
Exceptional customer service/interpersonal skills required.
BS in Computer Sciences preferred.
Overall understanding of computer operations in a network setting required.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds required.
Ability to travel locally routinely required.
Exceptional safety, performance and attendance records required.
